Despite raining most of the night, we actually beat last year’s count of 827 by 201 kids. First kid was a little after 5PM and the last was around 9:20PM.
Here’s to next year.

WTF I think we had 28.

I had 1 group of 3.

That’s a whole lot. I hope you get bulk candy pricing.
Also, your dog is looking a bit traumatized by things.

H oly cow, that is insane. We just got back from hiding from the candy monsters at a local brewery for a few hours...
![]() 10/31/2018 at 22:54 |

Wow. I haven't had a single one in 4 years

Inconceivable. I notice y’all kept a fire extinguisher on hand...

I live in a quiet residential neighborhood with plenty of kids and also plenty of old people, so I imagine it’s prime tri ck-or-treating out there. However, my house is at the end of a dead-end street and behind a fairly imposing (albeit well-lit) gate. This is my sixth Halloween in this house and I have yet to have a single trick-or-treater. More candy for me, I guess. Good thing I bought a kind I like!

Safety third!

I’ve lived in a secure building for years - never had a single trick or treater. A few came by my desk at work, and I shared a few Costco peanut butter cups.
Nice looking street, wide-eaved craftsman houses.

That was a good episode

Seventh Halloween here, actually ! Anyway, still no trick-or-treaters.

Damn, where do you live?! (General metro area is OK)
We live in a townhouse complex and everyone just goes elsewhere to do it. We average 1-3 kids per year.

That’s insane. We had maybe 60-70.

My last street I lived on for six year. Zero kids in six years. Zero. That's how you know you live in the really good part of Everett.

Awesome! Brought my kids to treak or treat on the upper west side in NYC one year. Jam packed full of kids. It was amazing. I live at the edge of a mountain preserve with no street lights. Not too many trick or treaters, but quite a few neighbors set up shop, so it’s still fun.

I used to have tons. Not as many as you, but a good number of kids considering this is a pretty low-income area. Last year all my neighbors decided not to participate and I had a ton of candy and maybe 15 kids so I didn’t buy any candy this year . The people across the street have all sorts of Halloween decorations up but their lights are off.
I was the asshole who left the porch light on this morning and then unexpectedly got stuck at work until 7:30. I haven’t found any smashed eggs...yet.

I'm convinced the greater Seattle area just has zero Halloween spirit. I hardly see anyone out and about around Kirkland

Gadamn! That's a crazy amount of trick or treaters! We had surprisingly few this year, despite the beautiful weather we had. Our town shuts it down at 7:00 though. My oldest is now big enough that we were out for two solid hours. Kid cleaned up!

We had a lower count this year. Down one from 30.
Our two streets of the neighborhood are kind of separated from the rest of it, so for trick or treating, it’s almost as if we are a small 70-80 home community.

WTF Phone. When did you start doing that?
![]() 11/01/2018 at 06:03 |

Holy shit...I don’t think we’ve had that many if you add the last 4 years we’ve lived here together even

holy shit.... thats like a bazzilion candies
2 weeks from now we get the local halloweenish thing
im expecting 10-20 kids (got enough chocolate for about 3 times that just in case... but yeah)

So how does a thousand trick-or-treaters happen?
![]() 11/01/2018 at 08:11 |

Damn, when I was trick-or-treating it was that busy. Now at my house, we had 2 small groups walk by and that was it. Living in a cul-de-sac, kids are lazy and don’t want to come down.
Plus, they put a time limit on it now. 6-8 or something stupid. We never even used to go out until it was dark.
![]() 11/01/2018 at 08:19 |

good god! We had a “good” year with 8 making the trek down our dark weirdly laid out cul de sac.

Well... When 2000 people love each other very much.... Or are at least very drunk...
We live in kind of a perfect storm neighborhood. The houses are pretty close together, high income, and we have sidewalks, so a lot of parents drive their kids in from less safe areas of town. It's a lot of fun.

WHOA!!
![]() 11/01/2018 at 09:39 |

Yeah, I live in a little 5 home neighborhood waaay out in the boonies. No kids are ever going to come ring our bell.

Actually... these just came to town.

We live in Tulsa, Oklahoma , but in an older, more affluent, reasonably dense neighborhood with good sidewalks . A lot of parents bring their kids in because it is much safer and the houses are pretty close together. Plus our neighborhood tends to be really into halloween decorations.

Holy shit balls.

Rich kids get enough handouts

That really does sound like fun. No sidewalks on my street but I am always happy to see folks who think our neighborhood is worth visiting.
